A great leaf peeping trip to Laurie and Dave Schmidt’s Killington, Vermont ski house! The weather was a bit iffy – especially Monday and Tuesday – but we got some nice hiking in on Saturday, Sunday, Wednesday and Thursday. Greg Akin, Mark Stookey, Lisa Chismire and Steve and Nancy Trefz (Lisa’s sister and brother-in-law) joined me. When we arrived on Friday, there wasn’t much color on the trees, but by the end of our week-long stay, there was a LOT of color. (Not yet peak, but a goodly amount of color.) One week later would have been near spot-on!
